FEMA(미국연방재난관리청) 대규모 치료 및 긴급 지원은 재난 생존자/피난민, 그들의 반려동물 및 장애인 보조 동물에게 생명 유지 서비스와 자원을 제공함으로써 재난으로 인해 피해를 입은 정부와 재난 발생 주 정부를 지원할 수 있습니다. 대규모 치료 및 긴급 지원은 기술 지원, 조정, 의사소통 및 확인된 자원의 형태로 지원을 제공합니다.
재난 생존자가 연방 지원을 받으려면 미국 시민권자, 시민권자가 아닌 미국 국적자 또는 자격을 갖춘 비시민권자 신분이여야 합니다. 연방 지원 대상에 해당되지 않는 생존자들도 FEMA 헬프라인 800-621-3362번으로 전화하여 자원 봉사 기관을 소개 받을 수 있습니다.
재난실업지원(DUA) 프로그램은 42 U.S.C. § 5177에 성문화된 로버트 T. 스태포드 재난구호·긴급지원법(Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act), 공법 93-288의 섹션 410에 따라 개별 지원을 포함하고 DUA를 승인하는 대통령 중대 재난 선언에 따라 주,·부족,·준주(STT) 정부에서 이용할 수 있습니다. DUA는 선포된 재난 사건의 직접적인 결과로 인해 실직하고 정규 주 실업보험 자격이 없는 개인에게 실업 수당과 재취업 서비스를 제공합니다.
