St. Augustine will elevate 11 repetitive loss and severe repetitive loss structures.
St. Augustine, Florida: $1.97 million
Project Description
The city of St. Augustine proposes to elevate 11 repetitive loss and severe repetitive loss flood-prone structures with a total of 33 repetitive and severe repetitive loss claims among these properties. They will be raised a minimum of two feet above the Base Flood Elevation (BFE), or above the highest known flood level through construction activities that include tunneling beneath the structures. Once the structure has been elevated two feet above the BFE or more, temporary cribbing will be placed under the structure to maintain it. This proposal includes building and site preparation, the disconnection of utilities, and the construction of ways to enter and exit the elevated living spaces.
