Disaster Unemployment Assistance Kentucky - Career Center When Disaster Unemployment Assistance is activated, the agency will provide disaster information. This assistance provides weekly benefit payments to those out of work due to the disaster, including self-employed persons, farm and ranch owners, and others not covered under regular unemployment insurance programs. 502-564-2900

Financial Assistance Kentucky Transitional Assistance (K-TAP) Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP) is the monetary assistance program established using federal funds from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families block grant. KTAP provides financial and medical assistance to needy dependent children in Kentucky and the parents or relatives with whom the children live. Health Care Services Kentucky Department for Medicaid Services (DMS) Kentucky Medicaid is a state and federal program authorized by Title XIX of the Social Security Act to provide health care for eligible low-income residents including children, families, pregnant women, the aged and the disabled. Eligibility is determined by a number of factors, including family size, income, and the federal poverty level. Eligibility for Supplemental Security Income recipients, the aged, blind, and disabled are based on additional requirements. Insurance Kentucky Department of Insurance There are different types of complaints that are accepted by the Department of Insurance. The Division of Consumer Protection investigates these complaints: Consumer Complaint: (for private health insurance, life, auto, home, general liability) A consumer complaint is filed by a consumer, or their representative, who is having difficulty settling a situation with an insurance company, agent, or adjuster.
