WHAT IS A SPONSORED NFIP SEMINAR?
It is an opportunity to provide your association, organization or employees with a uniform message about the National Flood Insurance Program. A typical sponsor provides the meeting site for the seminar and assembles the attendees. In return, a representative from one of the NFIP Bureau and Statistical Agent's regional offices conducts the the seminar session.
WHY SHOULD MY ORGANIZATION SPONSOR AN NFIP SEMINAR?
We can tailor a training program for your association or organization according to your specific needs. For insurance agents and company personnel, we can provide all the necessary information on coverages, rates, maps, NFIP terminology, marketing techniques and much more. For lenders, we add the latest information on legislative and compliance requirements as well as information on how the program works, coverages, terminology, and mandatory purchase.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND A SPONSORED SEMINAR?
Everyone with any need to know about the NFIP is a candidate. Our primary target audiences are lenders, insurance agents and other company personnel. Compliance officers, loan officers, loan processors and servicing personnel, appraisers, auditors, examiners, etc., routinely attend NFIP seminars. Property/casualty insurance company principals, licensed agents, and their support staff who currently write personal or commercial lines of insurance frequent our seminars throughout the country.
WHAT DOES IT COST TO SPONSOR A SEMINAR?
The NFIP Bureau and Statistical Agent does not charge a fee to conduct sponsored seminars. Some expense reimbursement for its services may be required, depending on the size of your group and the seminar's distance from the regional office. Please contact the appropriate NFIP regional office for further details.
IS CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT AVAILABLE FOR AGENTS?
Our seminars qualify for CE credit in many states. In the remaining states, the regional office can supply the information necessary to complete a state's CE application.
WHO CONDUCTS THE AGENT AND LENDER SEMINARS?
The NFIP Bureau and Statistical Agent has an experienced marketing and education staff that has delivered hundreds of seminars to thousands of attendees. A listing of some previous sponsors is included here.
